History of Guldmann

V. Guldmann A/S was established in 1980 by Viggo Guldmann with the concept to develop, manufacture and market technical aids for the disabled and working tools for their caregivers.

Under the Guldmann trademark they aim primarily to improve the working environment in every part of the social sector where people need to be moved and handled.

By supplying beds and lifting equipment as well as services that include advising, education, service and mounting, they contribute to ensuring the optimum utilization of the resources in the care system, where more time to care will be freed up. Guldmann operates worldwide and all products are manufactured in their own factories.

Jonathan's Son, Inc. has been factory trained in installing Guldmann Products and has been installing Guldmann Overhead Lift Systems throughout Northern California since 2000. We pride ourselves in providing unique solutions and beautiful installations that allow users and caregivers the freedom to be moved and handled with dignity.

The Guldmann ceiling mounted hoist system consists of a wide range of lifting units, rail components and a complete assortment of lifting slings and accessories.

Using our components and parts, we are able to design a ceiling mounted system which can be adapted to both individual requirements and the existing environment.

The system is available as small free-standing, self-sustaining and removable units or as wall or ceiling mounted systems.

When considering an Overhead Lifting system, Jonathan's Son, Inc. meets with you to discuss where the individual needs to be lifted, i.e. wheelchair to bed, bed to bathtub and/or toilet, or even in the living room or play room. Then we discuss whether the system will be a continuous rail system or will have mutiple individual rails and use the Guldmann GF2F portable motor.

We also discuss the type of lifting slings and accessories that may be best suited for the individual being lifted.

Once these points have been determined, Jonathan's Son, Inc. provides a drawing of the house layout and shows where the rails would be in each room along with a quote for the project.
