About Us

Paul Harlin has been a licensed general contractor since 1980, with expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, cabinetry and finish carpentry. His extensive experience includes custom home building and remodeling. Since the late 1990's he has focused this background into ways of providing quality services to the elderly and disabled. As a member of the National Association of Elevator Contractors, he is a "Certified Accessibility Technician" for all residential accessibility equipment. Licensed by the State of California, License# 409116, as a general contractor (B) license, he holds specialty licenses for: C11 - Elevator Installation, D21 - Machinery & Pumps, and D34 - Prefabricated Equipment.

Rhonda Harlin is a Registered Nurse who has worked in home care and understands the needs of clients in the home environment. From assessments to product instruction, she brings a personal caring touch to the contracting environment. She is also Guldmann's West Coast Trainer for the hospitals using the Overhead Track Systems.

Besides Paul & Rhonda, the founders of the company, Lift & Accessibility Solutions has a wonderful team to help make your home or business accessibile. Justine is the office manager who keeps things running smoothly and Jessie is our lead installer.  Drew is our Commericial Accounts Sales Manager. Others, (some of which are not pictured) support the team in various ways.  We are thankful to all of them, because of their dedication to our mission to serve. 

Memberships

Jonathan's Son, Inc also is a member of the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Rosa Section on Aging. We also frequently attend the  Marin Section on Aging, Napa Alliance on Aging and Sonoma Alliance on Aging to keep abreast of current topics related to our clientele. We are proud that Paul obtained his Certified Aging in Place Specialist certification. 

Why Jonathan's Son?

II Samuel 9 tells us the story about King David's desire to honor his best friend, Jonathan by honoring one of his descendants.

Mephibosheth was Jonathan's Son, and he was crippled in both feet. David declared he would always be welcome at the King's table, and he restored the lands of King Saul to this son of Jonathan.

As David sought to bring honor to this man, so we also seek to bring honor and respect to our clients by providing quality service and craftsmanship.

Now as to our name change....

Why Lift and Accessibility Solutions?

As much as we have loved the story of Mephibosheth (Jonathan's Son) and how it has guided how we treat our clients, we now realize that we would be able to help more people with a name that reflects more of what we actually do - so as of June 2012 we have begun the process of changing our name. This of course will not happen overnight. A new logo, new look, new website are all in process. Meanwhile, this webpage will continue to let people know what we can do for them. Our tag line is: We lift you UP! And that is what we strive to do, whether it be physically in some type of lift, or even emotionally helping you to smile with the great service our great team provides.
